Not every canadian festival requires it. Let me know if you can't find an aussie company which covers in canada. I may be able to recommend some canadian ones (I'm not sure if you need to be a Canadian resident to apply though).

You can try contacting Flame Oz (if you know them), see which company they went through. The company I've used in the past was http://www.palcanada.com/content/view/90/45/lang,en/ They're a bit expensive though.
You're going to love Port Credit! We've performed the Buskerfest there 4 times and other events throughout the year. It's a really awesome town and they've become great friends of ours!

Hey Bruce,
There're a couple options. Once you arrive, or possibly before you get here you can get insured through Clowns Canada. That's who I got my policy through. you contact them. they send you a membership and insurance application in the same email. $150 or so. i think it does $2 million. http://www.clownscanada.com/membership.aspx there are a couple other options. but that's the one i use. looking forward to seeing you over here. xo |

Clowns Canada is one that we've been looking into using. We've heard great things since it still covers fire and is year round for roughly the price you'd pay for a one-time fee.
